About BRIDGES

BRIDGES to Sustainability™ (BRIDGES) is a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization that commenced business at its Houston, Texas, headquarters in 1998. Its founder, Beth Beloff, modeled BRIDGES after the Institute of Corporate Environmental Management (ICEM) in the College of Business Administration, University of Houston, which she previously founded and directed.

Mission

The mission of BRIDGES is to foster the implementation of sustainable development through innovative partnership, educational and leadership development. To realize this mission, BRIDGES has created a unique niche in understanding how to operationalize sustainability, to move the discussion from "why" to "how". This is accomplished through the development of practical decision-support approaches, methods, and "tools" that facilitate the implementation of sustainable practices in organizations. BRIDGES also provides sustainability advisory services and serves as confidential ally to companies, developing critical issues reports and reviewing sustainability performance to reconcile economic, environmental, and societal bottom lines.
